The heart of it
A Harford County Family PhotographerWho Lets Kids Be Kids.

Family photos shouldn't feel forced. Amy creates a space where everyone, from toddlers to grandparents, can be themselves. With gentle guidance and a patient, laid-back approach, she focuses on capturing the in-between moments: the laughs, the cuddles, the chaos, and the calm.
These are memories you'll pass down, moments frozen in time that remind you how much love lives in the little things. That's her promise on every shoot, and it's why so much of her work comes from families who found her through another family.
The family session itself is simple: an hour of shooting, up to 4 people, one outfit, one backdrop or location, and 30 edited images delivered in about a week. Extra people are $40 each, so grandparents and cousins are a line item, never a problem.
How it works
From First Messageto Framed Wall.
- Say hello. Send the booking form with your date, your headcount and the kind of photos you're picturing. Amy answers personally, usually with a question or two of her own.
- Plan the shoot. A short questionnaire covers your people, your location and the images that matter most, so the session starts with a plan and not a warm-up period.
- Shoot the hour. Amy directs the whole session: groupings, posing, the kid-wrangling, the light. Your only job is showing up and being your family.
- Get the gallery. 30 edited images arrive in about a week, chosen and polished one by one. Print them, share them, pass them down.
The best family photos happen between the poses.
Beyond family portraits
What Sessions DoesAmy Shoot Here?
Family, maternity, children, birthdays and business portraits, all across Harford County Maryland and beyond. Maternity is the deepest lane: it's the work Amy started with, and her dress rental collection means you get a gallery-ready look without buying a gown for one photo session. Milestone birthdays get their own energy, and her professional event photography runs from launch parties to quinceaneras.
Themed backdrop sessions are the other favorite, especially around the holidays: a full red-and-gold setup, black and beige colorways for something more classic, and seasonal themes that change through the year. One theme is included with every family session, so the choice is taste, never budget.
Couples get their own pages too: for the question-popping kind of shoot, Amy works as a proposal photographer with the secrecy handled, and her portfolio carries engagement, anniversary and wedding work alongside the family galleries.

Family Session
Published rates, checked math
30% deposit books your date. 30 edited images per family session, delivered in about a week.

Every family session includes the planning conversation, an hour of directed shooting, and a gallery of 30 edited images picked and polished by Amy herself. You get posing help the whole way through, which matters more than most families expect: the difference between a stiff group shot and a wall-worthy portrait is usually direction, and direction is the job.
The full photography rate card, birthdays and business sessions included, lives on the Baltimore photography prices page. When you're ready, the fastest route is to hire a photographer in Baltimore or the county through the same booking form: pick your session type, name your date, and Amy takes it from there.
And if you're not sure what you want yet, that's normal. Send the half-idea. The first conversation is where a "we should get photos taken" turns into a real plan with a real date on it.
Good questions
Everything FamiliesAsk First.
How much does a family photo shoot cost?
A family session with Amy is $500. That covers an hour of shooting, up to 4 people, one backdrop or location, one outfit, and 30 edited digital images, with each extra person at $40. Travel starts at $30 depending on distance. Every rate is published, so the price you see is the price you pay.
Do you photograph maternity sessions?
Yes, maternity work is where Amy started, and it is still some of her favorite. Maternity clients can rent a dress from her collection for $60, in red, royal blue, light blue and pink across M through XL sizing, or wear their own. Many families book maternity photos first and come back once the baby is grown enough for family portraits.
What themed backdrops do you offer?
Backdrop sessions come in black, pink, red and beige colorways, with seasonal themes that vary through the year, like the red-and-gold holiday setup. A family session includes one backdrop or location, and extra backdrops are $50 each.
What should we wear for family photos?
Coordinated beats matching. Pick two or three colors that live together, dress for the location, and let everyone stay comfortable enough to move; relaxed people are easier to capture honestly. If you're renting the maternity dress or booking a themed backdrop, Amy will tell you what pairs well with it during planning.
What if the kids melt down mid-session?
Then the session keeps going, gently. Amy's whole approach is patient and laid-back: no forced poses, just space for everyone from toddlers to grandparents to be themselves. Some of the best images in her portfolio happened thirty seconds after somebody cried.
Can you photograph large families?
Yes. The base session covers up to 4 people and each extra person is $40, so a big multigenerational group is priced clearly before you book. Tell Amy the headcount in the form and she'll plan the groupings ahead of time.
Where do you travel for sessions?
All of Harford County is home ground: Bel Air, Fallston, Forest Hill, Abingdon, Aberdeen, Havre de Grace, Jarrettsville and Churchville. Travel is billed by distance, starting at $30 for 15 to 20 miles, and she regularly works down into Baltimore and across the DMV.
When will we get our photos?
Your gallery arrives in about a week, edited and organized. If you need images faster, expedited delivery under 5 days is available by inquiry. Every image in the gallery is individually edited; there's no unedited dump to dig through.
How do we book a session?
Send the form on the booking page with your date and what you have in mind. Amy replies herself, you talk it through, and a 30% deposit locks your date with the balance due the day of the shoot. Before the session she sends a questionnaire, so she shows up already knowing your people and your plan.
Do you photograph birthdays and events too?
Yes. Birthday sessions are $400, and business or special events start at $475 and are quoted by inquiry. Her event work includes launch parties and quinceaneras, so milestone birthdays are familiar territory.
Do you work outside Harford County?
All the time. Amy photographs across Baltimore City and Baltimore County, out through the DMV, and she takes projects in New York City, where her career started. The county is home base, never a boundary.
Book the session. The little things won't stay little.
